The Solar Energy Corporation of India will await proposals in an ongoing tender for 150 MW of grid-connected floating solar plants in Uttar Pradesh by June 21.
According to a notice published on Tuesday, SECI will open the bids at the same date. The extension of the deadline comes a few weeks after SECI lifted the capacity it seeks to award through the tender to 150 MW from 100 MW. It launched the Request for Selection process on March 16.
As previously announced, the targeted capacity will be split in three 50-MW blocks and will be added on a build-own-operate basis. It will be installed on the Rihand Dam, also known as the Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar Reservoir, in the state’s Sonbhadra district.
Successful bidders will be awarded 25-year power purchase agreements with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.
