Southern Railways Releases Tender For Solar Powered AC Facility In Kerala

One of six administrative divisions of the Indian Railways’ Southern Zone, the Thiruvananthapuram railway division has requested bids for the provision of solar-powered AC facilities in running rooms in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

The bidding process will begin on December 30, 2021, and must be submitted by January 13, 2022, at 2 p.m. Bids will be valid for 45 days, and the project must be finished within 120 days. Bidders must quote rates that include GST.

According to the tender document, no pre-bid meeting will take place, and no earnest money payment, bid security, or tender document fee will be required. Rather, in place of the bid security money, candidates must provide a bid security statement.

The following is the task scope, as described in the tender document:

“Supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of a solar-powered stand-alone air conditioner complete with solar panels, backup batteries, and so on per the following specifications. a.Inverter type, 5 star rated, 1.5 TR capacity split-air-conditioner complete with indoor cooling unit, outdoor condensing unit with copper coils, standard length copper refrigerant piping, control & power cable, remote, etc”

As per the tender, all the cable works should be of only Blue star/ Mitsubishi/ Panasonic/ Voltas/ Godrej/ Usha, with two years of warranty.

The tender also demands the use of a set for each 2500 Wp polycrystalline solar photovoltaic panel, charge controller, complete AC/DC power controls, solar inverter, mounting structure, cables, etc, with 5 years of warranty and Panels having 25 years of warranty.

“A solar tube battery with a capacity of 2150 AH, 4 x12 Volts (14400 VAH) in a polypropylene container, complete with battery wire, stands, and other supplements(acceptable battery brands: TATA/Exide/Amaroan/HBL/Amar Raja) – 1 set – with a 5-year replacement guarantee.”

Because the project costs less than 50 lakhs, applicants are not needed to meet any qualifying benchmark. Every tenderer or contractor or firm registered with http://www.ireps.gov.in must give his bank details that include the name of the bank, account number, bank branch code, IFSC code, and PAN number, as specified in the tender document, during the e-tendering procedure.
