“This collaboration is very strategic for Indika Energy and Sampoerna Kayoe because we will build PLTS hybrid with a combination of solar PV with a capacity of 12 MWp with a battery capacity of 3 MWh. At the moment its battery capacity is the largest in Indonesia. In the future, we also plan to build other PLTS for Sampoerna Kayoe in various regions in Indonesia,” explained Arsjad Rasjid.
For Indika Energy, the development of solar power as a form of renewable energy is a form of Indika Energy’s commitment to diversifying its business portfolio, achieving sustainability goals, improving ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) performance, as well as support the government’s efforts to achieve the NRE mix target of 23% by 2025.
“Sampoerna Kayoe welcomes the collaboration with Indika Energy to build friendly PV mini-grid environment. This is in line with Sampoerna Kayoe’s mission to reduce carbon emissions and integrate aspects of environmental sustainability in our operations in Mangole, North Maluku. We also believe in the capacity and competence of Indika Energy as a well-known national energy company,” said Michael Sampoerna.
