NCT Group Signs Agreement With Five Companies For Selangor Smart Industrial Park

NCT Group of Companies signs an agreement, with five parties in partnership for the upcoming Selangor Smart Industrial Park. These parties include Furniweb Holdings Ltd., Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Solarvest Holdings Bhd., KS Industrial Tools Sdn Bhd., and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.


Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy, the founder of NCT Group and managing director, stated that the development of these partnerships is a testament to his commitment to providing the best facilities for SSIP in order to increase efficiency and maintain a resilient and sustainable eco-friendly environment.


NCT Group and Solarvest plan to build 1,000 units of solar-ready warehouses and factories at SSIP in order to reach their shared decarbonization goals. The MOU covers the provision of decarbonisation service across NCT’s Malaysian facilities, as well as exploring the possibilities in renewable energy like solar and green hydrogen, energy efficiency, and electric mobility.

Solarvest executive director and group chief executive officer Davis Chong Chun Shiong said, “We are pleased to embark on this partnership with NCT Group as we both share the common goal of creating a world with accessible clean energy. This SSIP development is set to reduce the industrial and commercial carbon footprints quite significantly.”

Furniweb and NCT Group will continue to work together on energy efficiency services for the design of building automation systems in SSIP. Furniweb director Cheah Hannon said, “We look forward to working together with NCT Group and leveraging on our technical expertise to create an efficient and cost-effective facility for SSIP.”

APU and UTAR have formed partnerships to help NCT Group expand its 4.0 Industrial Revolution (4IR), Technical and Vocational Education and Training initiatives. This will allow NCT Group to shape the local workforce to adapt to the changing workplace environment through smart technology and improved efficiency. It will also enable higher productivity and contribute to higher income levels.

“We truly value the partnership with NCT Group as it provides our students with a strong platform to step into the working environment and accelerate their learning process,” said UTAR president Ewe Hong Tat.

APU chief operating officer Gurpardeep Singh added, “We are excited to be part of this journey with NCT Group to nurture young Malaysians to be prepared for the 4IR applications in real life.”

NCT Group is partnering with KS Industrial to install its DeScale technology. This technology corrects scale buildup and corrosion and cools tower water sanitisation. It prevents the growth of bacteria, viruses, and algae in cooling water.

KS Industrial’s managing director Wong Pow Siong said, “Our vast experience and highly specialised skill set in high-tech water systems is able to replace chemical treatments and contribute to NCT Group’s vision of an ESG (environmental, social and governance)-focused, energy-efficient and future-ready industrial park.”
