Maharashtra raised funds of Rs 25,361 crore for renewable energy, infrastructure, and bio-fuel through a green fund investors meet organized by MAHAPREIT (Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology Ltd), a subsidiary government of Maharashtra.
Bipin Shrimali, MAHAPREIT Managing Director, stated that one of the projects signed at the event was a Rs 1,200 cr project for a 26-acre Software Park near Thane. This park will be the state’s first online university. A road infrastructure project was also signed for the Surat-Chennai Expressway’s new alignment.
Shrimali stated that the main focus of the event was on renewable energy and charging stations for electric vehicles for the state. “The investors’ meeting received overwhelming response. 23 projects were completed. He stated that this will provide large-scale employment opportunities in Maharashtra.
