Emmvee Breaks Ground On New Solar Cell & Module Manufacturing Project

Emmvee Group breaks ground for its new solar cell & Module manufacturing facility at Dabaspet, Bengaluru. The facility will be the most advanced and fully automated production line with builtup area of region 500,000 square feet. The project is part of the Emmvee expansion plan of a total of 1.50 GW solar cell line and 3.00 GW Module manufacturing capacity. The ground breaking ceremony is the official kick start of the phase 2 of capacity expansion of 1.50 GW solar cell line and 1.75 GW of module manufacturing facility construction. The module and cell facilities are scheduled to commence operation from June 2023 and early 2024 respectively.

“With this integrated manufacturing facility we would have a stronger control over our supply chain providing the latest technology that meets the global standards and requirements. With the start of construction of our new facility, Emmvee will continue to fulfil the increasing demand and support its customers in business continuity by timely execution of supply.” Said Mr. Manjunatha, Managing Director, Emmvee Group of Companies.

“The expansion of capacity is under Rs. 1,000 Crore MoU recently signed with Government of Karnataka.” Said Mr. Suhas Donthi, Group Director, Emmvee Group of Companies. “The new solar cell and module line facility is a testament of Emmvee’s reputation as a global player in manufacturing and supplying of high quality and efficient Solar PV modules.”

The new plant is strategically constructed right next to Emmvee’s current 750MW module manufacturing facility to ensure operational excellence and control.
