NLCIL Initiates Bidding for 70.5 MW Solar Module Procurement in Neyveli Project

NLC India (NLCIL) has initiated a bid process to secure 70.5 MW of solar modules for a venture established on reclaimed land in Neyveli’s Mine-II region, Tamil Nadu. The undertaking encompasses a comprehensive range of tasks from production and delivery to packaging, forwarding, and transportation to the designated site. The solar photovoltaic modules should comply with the specifications required for a 1500V system voltage and include transit insurance.

Bid submission is open until September 29, 2023, with the bid opening scheduled for the same day. Interested bidders are required to provide an earnest money deposit (EMD) of โ‚น1,06,00,000/-and a non-refundable tender document fee of โ‚น20,000.

Upon successful bidding, a performance bank guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 10% of the order value is to be furnished. The supplied modules will be under warranty for a year from the receipt of the final supply.

NLC holds the prerogative to request an additional 10% of solar photovoltaic modules for each secured project capacity, adhering to the main contract’s terms.

Eligible bidders must have previously supplied solar photovoltaic modules or cells with a total capacity of 10 MW or higher, including an order for at least 5 MW capacity. A positive net worth, as per the latest audited financial statements, is also a prerequisite. The cumulative capacity should consist of supply orders of a minimum 1 MW capacity or more, separately applicable to both modules and cells.
