RenewSys, renowned as the pioneer integrated manufacturer of PV modules, has confirmed a substantial agreement to supply 100 megawatts of solar modules to Engie India. The contract, formally established during the REI Expo in Greater Noida, India, in October 2023, is designated for Engie India’s GUVNL 2 project. This initiative operates under a 25-year solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL).
Expressing commitment towards bolstering a sustainable future and solidifying its position in India’s solar sector, RenewSys emphasizes its honor in contributing to the project. Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd., expressed delight in this collaboration, citing it as a testament to RenewSys’ dedication to advancing solar PV and highlighting the increasing awareness of sustainable energy solutions.
Naresh Baluja, Chief Commercial Officer of Engie India, echoed this sentiment, stating Engie’s commitment to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral world. Baluja emphasized the company’s purpose to integrate economic performance with a positive impact on people and the planet.
RenewSys is set to supply its monocrystalline Bifacial Glass-Backsheet modules for the project and anticipates completing its execution by Q1/Q2 2024. This collaboration marks RenewSys’ commitment to meeting the escalating demand for clean and efficient energy sources.
