TotalEnergies, a prominent player in the solar power market, asserts its leadership position with a portfolio boasting a total capacity of 41.3 gigawatts (GW) in 2023, with 12 GW already operational, according to the latest report from research consultancy Mercom. The report underscores the extensive and diverse nature of TotalEnergies’ solar projects on a global scale.

For several years, TotalEnergies has been committed to substantial investments in solar energy, participating in major projects worldwide, including the notable 800-MW Al Kharsaah solar power plant in Qatar.

The company dedicates an annual budget of $5 billion to the development of renewable and low-carbon energies, actively engaging in global alliances with key industry players such as Adani Green Energy Ltd. in India, Casa dos Ventos Energias Renovรกveis in Brazil, and Clearway Energy Group in the USA. These strategic partnerships aim to accelerate the global transition to sustainable energy.

TotalEnergies’ focus on solar power projects is emblematic of its broader commitment to advancing the energy transition. The company remains vigilant for opportunities to reinforce its position as a world leader in the solar energy segment.
