NVVN Announces Bidding for 9.98 MW Project, Blending Rooftop and Ground-Mounted Solar Power Across Western Region

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) has recently issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the development of a 9980 KW grid-connected solar power project in multiple locations across the Western Region. The project is intended to cater to the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) falling under the Department of Defence Production (DDP). NVVN is seeking online bids from eligible contractors through a ‘Single Stage Two Envelope’ bidding process, comprising a Techno-Commercial Bid (Envelope-I) and a Price Bid (Envelope-II).

The bidding process timeline is as follows:

Clarification End Date: 26-Jan-2024, 06:00 PM
Bid Submission End Date: 01-Feb-2024, 05:00 PM
Bid Opening Date: 02-Feb-2024, 03:00 PM

A bid security of Rs 1,00,00,000/- (Indian Rupees One Crore Only) is required from interested bidders.

The scope of work involves the installation of solar photo voltaic (PV) systems on the rooftops and ground-mounted sites of various buildings belonging to the PSUs under the DDP. The total solar capacity for the project is 9.98 Mwac, comprising 2.50 Mwac for rooftop solar, and 7.48 Mwac for ground-mounted solar. The successful bidder will assume responsibility for design, engineering, testing, and other relevant activities. This includes a comprehensive assessment of each building’s rooftop for solar installation, considering factors such as roof condition, water arrangements, electricity, and security. Additionally, the bidder will oversee the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for a period of 10 years.
