Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE) CEO, Engineer Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, recently hosted Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), in a meeting aimed at bolstering collaboration and launching initiatives to reduce energy consumption costs in Ajman’s industrial sector.
The discussion delved into challenges faced in adopting solar energy technologies and strategies to overcome them. The leaders also explored avenues to support the private sector in embracing sustainable practices in line with COP28 recommendations. EtihadWE affirmed its commitment to providing solutions for the industrial sector, while ACCI praised their role in fostering cooperation and innovation.
The meeting, attended by ACCI’s Director-General, Salem Al Suwaidi, and other key representatives, highlighted the importance of operational costs in the sustainability of industrial establishments.
Engineer Abdullah Al Muwaiji emphasized the Ajman Government’s commitment to encouraging the use of solar energy and connecting renewable energy units to the electrical grid. This aligns with ACCI’s mission to educate the private sector on adopting sustainable and clean energy solutions for sustainable development and green economy standards.
