In a pivotal session chaired by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE), the 80th meeting of the Council unfolded at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Hotel in Dubai. The gathering, attended by key dignitaries including HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the DSCE, delved into strategies fostering the transition towards clean and renewable energy sources.

Fuel Distribution Sector and Green Mobility Initiatives:

A central focus of the meeting was the development of the retail fuel distribution sector to align with international standards. The Council, cognizant of the surge in demand over the past three years, introduced initiatives aimed at enhancing distribution operations at fuel stations. Mobile fuel distribution vehicles were proposed to cater to evolving consumer needs.

In tandem with the Dubai Green Mobility Initiative 2030, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) introduced an accreditation program for entities managing green vehicle fleets. This program extends accreditation certificates to companies overseeing green fleets, encompassing electric and hybrid cars. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision to augment the presence of environmentally friendly vehicles in local markets.
