Soltec, a leading manufacturer and supplier of solar trackers for large-scale solar plants, has secured a contract to supply 164 MW of its SF7 solar tracker for a project developed by Blue Ridge Power in Virginia, USA.
The photovoltaic plant will benefit from Soltec’s flagship tracker, the SF7, renowned for its 2-in-portrait configuration. Engineered through continuous innovation and a focus on quality, the SF7 design streamlines construction processes, facilitating swift assembly and reducing the number of required parts. This translates to expedited installation timelines and lowered structural costs for the project.
The implementation of this solar plant is expected to prevent the emission of approximately 294,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Furthermore, the energy generated by the plant will be adequate to power over 17,000 households.
Raรบl Morales, CEO of Soltec, expressed delight in partnering with Blue Ridge Power, a repeat customer for Soltec, in furthering the decarbonization of the American economy. He emphasized Soltec’s commitment to the United States, highlighting their dedication to being a pivotal contributor to the nation’s energy transition and global sustainability efforts.
