
In a strategic initiative, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, operating under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, orchestrated a meeting between the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the Dubai Renewable Energy Business Group. This collaborative effort aims to explore opportunities that reinforce partnerships between the public and private sectors, contributing to Dubai’s global prominence in business, investment, and sustainability.
Key participants included Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA; Maha Al Gergawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers; and Lukesh Verma, Chairman of the Dubai Renewable Energy Business Group.
The session shed light on the objectives and activities of business groups within the Dubai Chamber, emphasizing their pivotal role in boosting economic growth and fostering collaborations between the public and private sectors. Attendees gained insights into the Dubai Renewable Energy Business Group’s endeavors to enhance sustainability among private businesses and expedite the shift towards clean energy by promoting renewable technologies in Dubai.

He highlighted the Dubai Renewable Energy Business Group as a platform for cooperation and knowledge-sharing, enabling the private sector to accelerate the energy transition for a sustainable future.
The meeting underscored initiatives such as the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. Participants also delved into DEWA’s prominent projects aimed at expediting the adoption of clean and renewable energies.
