Shri Ravindra Kumar assumed the role of Director (Operations) at NTPC on February 26, 2024. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from BIT Sindri, graduating in 1988. Before his current position, he served as OSD to the Director (Operations) at NTPC Limited. Joining NTPC as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1989, he brings over 34 years of extensive experience in Commissioning, O&M, Engineering, and Project Management.
Throughout his career, he held various roles in O&M at NTPC Kahalgaon Project, served at the Corporate Centre in the Engineering department, and provided technical support to the Director (Technical). Notably, he played a key role in the development of Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Limited’s (BIFPCL) 1st Maitree supercritical power project in Bangladesh.
