Solar Steel, a prominent supplier of solar trackers and fixed structures for the PV solar sector, is excited to announce a significant supply agreement for 118 megawatts (MW) of solar trackers destined for a photovoltaic project in Chile.
Under this agreement, Solar Steel will provide 1,939 TracSmarT+ 1V single-row and dual-row trackers, facilitating the generation of clean energy to power over 75,000 households in the region. This initiative is expected to prevent approximately 50,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, contributing significantly to the decarbonization efforts in the Chilean region of Antofagasta.
By promoting the adoption of clean and sustainable energy sources, Solar Steel’s supply will play a vital role in transforming the energy landscape in LATAM. This achievement underscores Solar Steel’s leading position in the solar PV sector, having already supplied over 4.2 GW of its solar trackers and fixed structures in the region
