Greenzo Energy India Limited, a leader in the development of green hydrogen technologies, has unveiled a groundbreaking 1 MW Alkaline Electrolyser, marking a significant advancement in India’s clean energy sector. This innovation, launched at the Sanand Global Expo hosted by the Sanand Industries Association, stands as the country’s first indigenous electrolyser crafted entirely under the ‘Make in India’ campaign.
The introduction of this electrolyser was presided over by Gujarat’s Industries Minister, Balvantsinh Rajput, who highlighted the project’s critical role in propelling Gujarat, and indeed India, towards becoming a green hydrogen hub. This aligns with the nation’s ambitious goals for energy security and achieving net-zero emissions.
Sandeep Agarwal, CEO of Greenzo Energy, shared that the company has already received significant orders for their 1 MW Alkaline Electrolyser, boasting an order book of Rs 1,200 crore. The firm is also in the process of establishing a manufacturing facility capable of producing 250 MW of electrolyser units annually in Sanand GIDC. Additionally, plans are underway to expand their manufacturing capabilities to include up to 5 MW single stack alkaline-based technology at their Sanand -2 industrial area facility.
Green hydrogen, generated by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable energy sources, presents a sustainable solution for various sectors, including transportation, power generation, and industrial processes. Greenzo Energy’s pioneering efforts in this field are set to significantly contribute to India’s journey towards a sustainable energy future.
