EEHC Seeks Bids for 8.2 MW Solar PV Plant and Battery Storage System in Siwa, Egypt The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) has issued a Request for Expression of Interest (REoI) for the design, construction and operation of an 8.2 MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant plus a 2 MWac/4 MWh battery energy storage system in Siwa, Egypt.

The project is part of the EEHC’s plan to increase the use of renewable energy in Egypt. Siwa is an isolated oasis located in the Western Desert of Egypt, and the new solar PV plant and battery storage system will help to provide a reliable source of clean energy for the region.

EEHC is inviting interested local/foreign companies or formal consortium/s of companies to submit their Expression of Interest in response to this REoI. Only one company or consortium will be selected to implement the project.

The deadline for submitting Expressions of Interest is June 3, 2024.
