West Central Railway Invites Bids for 2.33 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Kota Division

West Central Railway has issued an invitation for bids to enlist agencies for the implementation of 2.33 MW rooftop solar power projects at Kota division.

The deadline for bid submission is June 3, 2024, with bids set to be opened on the same day.

The Estimated cost of the project is Rs 8.42 crore with completion period is set for 9 months from the date of appointment.

Bidders must pay Rs 34,810 for the bid document and Rs 10.68 lakh per MW as an earnest money deposit.

The chosen bidder will need to provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs 16 lakh /MW, to be furnished within 30 days of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).

Prior to the technical bid submission deadline, bidders must have installed grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a minimum combined capacity of 200 kW as developers or EPC contractors.

Alternatively, bidders should have successfully installed and commissioned a minimum capacity of 1,000 kW across various sectors, including residential, social, industrial, commercial, or governmental, before the technical bid submission deadline.

Eligibility criteria of parent company of the bidder shall also be considered for bidderโ€™s eligibility criteria if the parent company is holding minimum 26% share in the bidding company. Documentary evidence shall be submitted along with the bid.

Additionally, bidders should demonstrate an average annual turnover of Rs 1.5 crore over the past three financial years, alongside maintaining a positive net worth.

The selected bidder will be required to enter a 25-year PPA with the Railways, and there may be a necessity to sign the PPA at the divisional level.
