In a notable achievement towards sustainable development, Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc Ltd. has announced a significant reduction in its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity. Over the past four years, the company has achieved a 14% decrease in GHG emission intensity, a milestone attributed to its strategic integration of renewable energy and enhanced operational efficiency.
Hindustan Zinc emphasized the use of advanced technology to achieve this reduction. Compared to the base year of 2020, the company has successfully lowered its emission intensity while simultaneously increasing its production each year.
