Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for eligible bidders to form a consortium for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 23 MW (AC) grid-connected solar power plant. This project, located in the Majri area of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) in Nagpur, also includes a ten-year comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) contract. The EOI is in response to CMPDI Tender No. CMPDI/ENM/WCL/SOLAR/2024/02.
TCIL will serve as the lead partner for this consortium and is seeking partners ready to work exclusively on a back-to-back basis for this project. This initiative aims to leverage TCIL’s expertise, which has been shared with developing countries and bulk telecom service users since its inception in 1978.
The Deadline for submission of bids is June 21, 2024, at 12:00 PM. The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM, while the opening date for financial bids will be announced later.
To qualify, bidders must demonstrate an average annual financial turnover of at least ₹29.78 crore (₹24.82 crore for startups) over the last three financial years, ending March 31 of the previous financial year, excluding GST.
This project underscores TCIL’s commitment to advancing solar power infrastructure in India, contributing to the nation’s renewable energy goals, and enhancing its expertise in executing large-scale solar projects.
