In a groundbreaking development at the SNEC PV Power Expo on June 13th, Astronergy’s ASTRO N series solar module products have received the world’s first IEC TS 63126:2020 (2 PfG 2971) photovoltaic module certificate, along with the first IEC TS 63126 PV junction box and PV module connector certificates. These certifications were granted by TÜV Rheinland, verifying the high reliability and stability of Astronergy modules in extreme high-temperature environments.
The IEC TS 63126:2020 standard, formulated and issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), is a specialized test for photovoltaic (PV) modules and their spare parts used in high-temperature conditions over extended periods. This standard is a significant addition to the existing IEC 61730-2 and IEC 61215 standards, further enhancing the reliability and durability of PV modules in extreme climates.
Desert and high-altitude regions, characterized by intense solar radiation and high temperatures, provide ideal conditions for high-efficiency PV systems. However, these conditions also demand superior performance from PV modules. Through rigorous testing conducted by TÜV Rheinland, an internationally recognized independent third-party organization specializing in testing, inspection, certification, training, and consulting, Astronergy’s TOPCon products have proven to meet the stringent requirements of the IEC TS 63126 standard, showcasing exceptional performance.

The attainment of the IEC TS 63126:2020 certificates confirms that Astronergy’s ASTRO N n-type TOPCon PV module products deliver more efficient and stable performance. This makes them suitable for a wide range of applications and projects in complex and extreme environments.
These three groundbreaking certifications underscore Astronergy’s leadership in the global PV industry in terms of technological innovation and quality control. In high-temperature markets such as the Middle East and Africa, Astronergy’s TOPCon products are poised to become the preferred choice for local customers, thanks to their proven reliability and efficiency in challenging conditions.
