The Denis Group, specializing in construction materials, has announced a significant initiative with Nexhos Énergies to install 14 photovoltaic power plants across its sites in Brittany. This ambitious project aims to enhance energy sustainability by generating 4,200 MWh annually, meeting 75% of the group’s current energy needs through self-consumption.
Renan Denis, CEO of Denis Matériaux, expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing its role in achieving energy independence while remaining cost-competitive in the market. The installation will encompass 11 roof-based systems, requiring renovations, and three storage canopies, with completion slated for 2025.
This endeavor, totaling 4.23 MWp in capacity and supported by an investment nearing €10 million, enjoys backing from regional stakeholders including the Denis Group, Nexhos Énergies for project management, and financial support from Crédit Agricole d’Ille-et-Vilaine through equity and structured debt.
The initiative underscores a commitment to sustainability and renewable energy integration within Brittany’s industrial sector, contributing significantly to regional energy goals.
