The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has released an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the supply and installation of 10 MW grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. This initiative targets government sector buildings and grounds across Maharashtra.
The EoI, dated June 27, 2024, aims to discover the tariff for the proposed rooftop solar power projects. Interested project developers can access the EoI documents on the MahaTenders website starting June 27, 2024.
Developers are required to submit their queries regarding the project by 5:00 PM on July 2, 2024, via email to gmsolar@mahaurja.com. The scope of the project encompasses the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar PV systems, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of 25 years.
A security deposit of INR 500,000 must be submitted by EoI holders at the time of submission through e-payment methods like Net Banking, RTGS, or NEFT. The last date for submission of the EoI is July 21, 2024. Additionally, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 225,000 is required, with no exemptions for MSME companies.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 3:00 PM on July 3, 2024, at the MEDA Head Office. The final date for EoI submission is July 22, 2024, by 2:00 PM, with the opening of the EoIs set for July 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
An EoI processing fee of INR 11,800, inclusive of 18% GST, is also required to be paid through e-payment methods.
This initiative underscores Maharashtra’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy infrastructure and reducing carbon emissions through sustainable energy projects.
