RMC Switchgears Limited is making a big push into renewable energy with their new Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) venture. Their first project is a 1.35 MWp solar power plant in Rajasthan, valued at Rs. 4.76 crores. This move aligns with their commitment to sustainability and positions them as a leader in India’s green energy revolution.
The company has set a target of securing 1 GWp in EPC contracts within a year. They’re actively pursuing tenders exceeding 600 MWp and collaborating with experts across India. Their in-house design and supervision teams will also play a key role.
This initiative goes beyond just generating clean energy. It supports India’s climate goals under the Paris Agreement and their target of 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. The project will also reduce carbon emissions, promote economic growth, and create green jobs.
This venture highlights RMC’s dedication to innovation and sustainability. As stated by their CEO, Mr. Ankit Agrawal, they are committed to exceeding expectations and contributing to India’s clean energy future.
