KREDL Announces Tender for 100 MW Solar Power Plant in Karnataka

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has officially launched a tender for the development of a 100 MW AC Grid Interactive Solar Power Plant along with a 130MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Kalaburgi district, Karnataka. Valued at Rs. 563 Crores, this ambitious project aims to bolster renewable energy infrastructure in the state.

The scope of the project includes designing, constructing, and commissioning the solar PV ground mount project alongside the Battery Energy Storage System. Interested parties are also tasked with managing the operation and maintenance of the facility for a period of 25 years, subject to mutual agreement for extension.

According to the tender documents, prospective developers must submit their bids electronically through the e-procurement portal by August 16, 2024. The Techno-Commercial Bids are scheduled to be opened on August 19, 2024, followed by the Price (Financial) Bids after evaluation.

The project, to be executed on a 551-acre site in Kalaburgi, involves extensive technical requirements including power generation, grid interaction, and battery storage capabilities. The successful bidder will be selected based on their quoted Effective Tariff in the E-Reverse Auction, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to technical criteria.
