On Thursday, the Ard Al Janateen Agricultural Cooperative Association launched the second phase of their economic empowerment project in Marib province’s Serwah district. This phase includes the distribution of six solar systems to 16 farmers.
The initiative, valued at 26.3 million YER, is a collaborative effort involving local authorities, the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, the Banyan Foundation, the Youth and Youth Care Fund, the Agriculture Office, the Agricultural Initiatives Financing Unit, and a 40% community contribution.
Muree al-Amiri, Director of Serwah district, underscored the project’s significance for advancing the local agricultural sector and stimulating economic development in a region impacted by systemic destruction. He praised the association for providing support through interest-free loans, which contributes to agricultural advancement.
Faisal al Hayal, Executive Director of the Ard Al Janateen Agricultural Cooperative Association, outlined future plans to further assist farmers. The project aims to enhance land use, boost production, improve crop quality, and expand the cultivation of essential grains.
