GreenGo Energy, a global leader in renewable energy and green hydrogen solutions, has announced its strategic expansion into Namibia during the Global African Hydrogen Summit (GaH2S) in Windhoek. This move emphasizes the companyโ€™s commitment to advancing the global transition to a NetZero future, leveraging Namibiaโ€™s potential to become a hub for green hydrogen production.

Transforming Namibiaโ€™s Energy Landscape

Namibiaโ€™s vast natural resources and optimal geographic conditions make it a prime candidate for green hydrogen production. GreenGo Energy aims to harness the countryโ€™s solar and wind resources to produce low-cost green fuels at scale. The company’s vision extends beyond energy, seeking to empower desert farming, foster industrial development, and support urban growth by providing affordable green energy and water.

Strategic Partnerships Formed

At the summit, GreenGo Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with local developer InnoSun Energy Holdings to co-develop solar and wind projects for large-scale green hydrogen production. Additionally, an MoU was signed with Lodestone, a local iron mining company, to integrate green hydrogen into steel production, positioning Namibia as a global player in sustainable metals.
