Greenzo Energy, India’s only indigenous manufacturer of alkaline electrolyzers, has won a green hydrogen project at the Ennore SEZ Supercritical Thermal Power Plant (2×660 MW) through a competitive bidding process. The plant is owned by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), a public sector entity under the Government of Tamil Nadu. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been appointed as the project engineering management company for this initiative by TANGEDCO.
As part of this project, Greenzo Energy will set up a hydrogen generation facility with a capacity of 20 normal cubic meters of hydrogen per hour, contributing significantly to India’s Green Hydrogen Mission. The project is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeframe, further advancing Tamil Nadu’s efforts in the green energy transition.

The electrolyzers for this project will be designed and manufactured at Greenzo Energy’s facility in Sanand, Gujarat, further solidifying the company’s standing as a leader in the green hydrogen sector
