BayWa r.e.has completed Tarquinia solar park in Italy, with a total installed capacity of 51.4 MWp. The park is equipped with over 94,000 fixed solar modules, capable of supplying renewable energy to more than 35,000 households. Now that the project is complete, BayWa r.e. will continue to manage its operation and maintenance (O&M).
To ensure harmony with the surrounding environment, several mitigation measures were implemented. An artificial pond was created to support aquatic microhabitats for amphibians, other vertebrates, and aquatic macroinvertebrates. Additionally, the existing dry-stone walls were restored to preserve the landscapeโs integrity and support local biodiversity.

This project demonstrates that it is possible to actively contribute to the decarbonisation of the country, while respecting the unique characteristics of the region. We are proud to be able to provide renewable energy to more than 35,000 households, while contributing to enhancing biodiversity and preserving the landscape.โ
