Saatvik Green Energy Limited has been awarded a significant contract by the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) to supply 200 MW of solar modules across various locations in Maharashtra. The project, valued at approximately Rs 3.02 billion, will feature N-TOPCon 580Wp photovoltaic modules, marking a strategic move towards enhancing the state’s solar energy capacity.
This contract follows Saatvik Solar’s January 2024 memorandum of understanding with Enrich Energy for a similar supply of 200 MW of photovoltaic modules. In June 2023, Saatvik Green Energy also secured an 8.08 MW DC (6.5 MW AC) solar power project for a prominent cement and power conglomerate, showcasing the company’s growing footprint in the renewable energy sector.
The partnership with MAHAGENCO aligns with broader efforts to increase renewable energy production in Maharashtra. In March 2024, NTPC Green Energy entered into a joint venture agreement with MAHAGENCO to develop renewable energy parks in the state, further reinforcing the commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
With the latest contract, Saatvik Green Energy is poised to contribute significantly to Maharashtra’s renewable energy goals, reinforcing its position as a key player in the solar energy market. The deployment of advanced N-TOPCon modules is expected to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the region’s energy landscape.
