Redren Energy and Swelect HHV Solar Photovoltaics have received provisional enlistment for additional solar PV module models in the MNREโ€™s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I. This provisional status follows applications from both companies to include new models under the ALMM, as per the guidelines from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), issued on May 10, 2023.

The provisional enlistment allows these models to be added to the official list, supporting further industry compliance. However, for final enlistment, Redren Energy and Swelect HHV Solar Photovoltaics must meet all conditions specified in the ALMM order and other MNRE instructions. This process includes government scrutiny to ensure adherence to standards.

The MNRE has clarified that it, along with the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) and associated officials, is not liable for any losses, damages, or expenses arising from the provisional enlistment status if the models do not achieve final enlistment. This provision is standard and has the approval of the competent authority.

Redren Energy currently has an enlisted production capacity of 77 MW per year, with an applied capacity of around 400 MW per year for additional models. Swelect HHV Solar Photovoltaics holds a larger enlisted capacity of 627 MW per year, with approximately 700 MW per year of applied capacity for further model enlistment.

This provisional enlistment reflects the MNREโ€™s ongoing efforts to support the solar industry by facilitating a streamlined process for model approvals while ensuring manufacturers comply with national quality standards for renewable energy production.
