For the second consecutive year, Entergy Texas is honored to receive the 2024 Heroes of the Community Award presented by the Global Energy Transition organization. The award acknowledges the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable energy initiatives and partnerships that help drive the energy transition forward.

As the world increasingly explores renewable resources like solar and wind, the shift to a more sustainable energy future can have a significant impact on communities, specifically in the form of job displacements. GET, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, seeks to advance the careers of displaced energy professionals and entrepreneurs by helping them find new opportunities in the evolving low-carbon economy.

โ€œEntergy Texas has been a steadfast partner in GETโ€™s journey from early on, uplifting our mission to empower displaced energy professionals and supporting the โ€˜human factorโ€™ in the energy transition,โ€ said Sonia Clayton, Chairman of GET. โ€œThis year, as the official host of our 2024 GET Awards of Excellence, Entergy Texas helped bring together over 130 corporate and community leaders to honor those making a profound impact in the energy sector. Their support exemplifies true leadership, corporate responsibility, and commitment to a sustainable future. We are truly grateful for their unwavering dedication and community partnership.โ€
