Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a government-owned company under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has won the 3rd PSU Transformation Award in the “Innovative Product Development” category. The award was presented for their innovative “Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Supply to DISCOMs on a Demand Following Basis” model. The ceremony took place on December 5, 2024, in New Delhi.
The award was received by SECI’s Director (Solar) Shri Sanjay Sharma, Director (Finance) Shri Joshit Ranjan Sikidar, and Director (Power System) Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma. They were joined by Shri Ajay Kumar Sinha, General Manager (Corporate Planning), and other SECI officials.
SECI’s innovative power supply model works with various DISCOMs and states to assess their energy needs and create solutions that meet their renewable energy requirements. This model ensures a reliable and flexible supply of renewable energy, aligning with the growing demand for clean energy in India.
