IIT Bhilai has invited bids for the development of a 475 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project on the rooftops of various buildings on its campus. The project will involve site survey, design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning, followed by operation and maintenance for 25 years under the RESCO model, starting after operational acceptance.
Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of โน5,22,500 and a performance bank guarantee of โน13,06,250. The project must be completed within four months from the start date, and the successful bidder will be responsible for maintaining the system for 25 years. The bid submission process will begin on December 23, 2025, with a pre-bid meeting scheduled for December 30, 2025, and the final date for submitting bids is January 13, 2025.
To qualify for the bid, bidders must submit proof of payment for the tender fees (โน1,000) and earnest money deposit. They should also have at least five years of experience in the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV projects. Additionally, bidders must have completed solar PV plants in the RESCO model and operated them for a minimum of 24 months. The required experience can be shown through one project of 400 kWp, two projects of 300 kWp, or three projects of 200 kWp, all completed and functioning for the last 24 months.
The work undertaken must have been completed within the last seven years, and ongoing, abandoned, or incomplete projects will not be considered. This initiative aims to enhance IIT Bhilai’s sustainability efforts by installing a solar power system to meet its energy needs.
