SMA Ranks 6th in the Global 100 Index of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies

SMA Solar Technology AG has once again improved its excellent ranking in the renowned “100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World Index” (ticker: CKG100) in 2025. In 2024, SMA was included in the Corporate Knights’ index for the first time and instantly secured the 10th position. In this year’s ranking, the media and research company specializing in sustainability has ranked SMA 6th in the index of the most sustainable companies worldwide. SMA stands out as the top performer in the Corporate Knights peer group, the sector and the industry. Corporate Knights compiles the Global 100 Index every year based on comprehensive research into the sustainability performance of companies and their products.

According to Corporate Knights, the Global 100 companies represent the top group worldwide in terms of sustainability performance. To compile the 2025 ranking, Corporate Knights assessed 8,359 global companies on the basis of up to 25 sustainability indicators, such as sustainable sales, sustainable investments, consideration of sustainability goals in management board remuneration, and diversity in management and supervisory bodies. The key figures were weighted differently in order to reflect the impact profile of each sector individually.
