Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd. (WRTL), a leading solar EPC company and subsidiary of the Waaree Group, has bagged a major solar project worth ₹232.3 crore, reinforcing its commitment to expanding India’s clean energy footprint. The Letter of Award (LoA) was granted by its parent firm, Waaree Energies Ltd.

The project involves the complete execution of a 170 MW AC (255 MW DC) ground-mounted solar power plant on a turnkey basis. WRTL will be responsible for the full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) scope, ensuring seamless delivery of the project. Additionally, the company will handle the long-term Operation and Maintenance (O&M), ensuring sustained performance and efficiency of the solar infrastructure.

Slated for completion within the 2025–26 financial year, this venture is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions—by an estimated 225,000 metric tonnes annually. This environmental benefit is equivalent to removing nearly 50,000 fossil fuel-powered vehicles from the roads each year, making it a substantial contribution to India’s decarbonization goals.

This project adds to WRTL’s expanding portfolio. The company has already delivered more than 10,000 solar installations, with a cumulative installed capacity of over 1.82 GW. Earlier in March 2025, WRTL secured another substantial LoA worth ₹740.06 crore for a 125 MW AC solar project.

These back-to-back project wins underscore WRTL’s leadership in the renewable sector and its pivotal role in helping India meet its sustainable energy targets.
