The 8th International Exhibition of Renewable Energy and the Environment in Africa was recently held in Dakar, drawing wide participation from government bodies, embassies, and industry players. POWERCHINA, invited by the Senegalese Renewable Energy Agency, actively engaged in energy cooperation dialogues and showcased its strengths and plans for supporting Senegal’s renewable energy development.
Distinguished visitors to POWERCHINA’s booth included Daouda Ngom, Senegal’s Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development; Maysa Diakhaté, representing the Minister of Energy, Petroleum, and Mining; and Djouma Kobor, Director of the Renewable Energy Agency.
Representatives from POWERCHINA’s Senegal office provided the delegation with an overview of the company’s global operations in renewable energy. They also engaged in in-depth conversations regarding Senegal’s energy roadmap and the potential for applying advanced renewable technologies. The visiting officials praised POWERCHINA’s broad expertise and expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration within Senegal’s renewable energy landscape.
Aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative, POWERCHINA promotes sustainable and high-quality development. The company has been actively involved in various infrastructure, water, energy, and mining projects across Senegal.
The exhibition served as a platform for POWERCHINA to demonstrate its global competitiveness in renewable energy and reaffirm its commitment to enhancing China-Africa energy cooperation.
