LONGi has once again earned a place in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2025, marking its third consecutive inclusion. This recognition underscores LONGi’s continued excellence in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) performance and its unwavering commitment to sustainable development.
The S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), now in its 26th year, is a globally respected tool for evaluating ESG practices. Its results inform over 200 indices published by S&P Dow Jones Indices and are widely referenced by institutional investors managing more than $35 trillion in assets. From over 1,600 Chinese enterprises assessed in the 2024 CSA, just 164 companies were selected for inclusion in the 2025 edition of the Sustainability Yearbook.
In 2024, LONGi significantly deepened its ESG strategy, achieving several of its sustainable development goals ahead of schedule. Notably, the company’s green electricity usage rose to 47.5%, helping to reduce approximately 2.5467 million tons of carbon emissions. LONGi also reported a 37% year-over-year decrease in Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions and a 26% decrease in Scope 3 emissions, compared to 2023. Electricity consumption per production unit also declined substantially from 2020 levels, achieving targeted efficiency goals.
On the environmental front, LONGi invested 370 million yuan in environmental protection in 2024, recorded zero environmental violations, and achieved full ISO 14001 certification across all operating sites. Five of its production bases passed the clean production audit, and its Jiaxing factory not only maintained its WEF Lighthouse Factory status but also achieved “zero-carbon factory” certification.
LONGi also expanded its global environmental credentials by securing 53 carbon footprint certifications for its silicon wafers, modules, and hydrogen products in countries including France, South Korea, and under the international EPD system. These achievements not only demonstrate LONGi’s environmental responsibility, but also set a new benchmark for the green and low-carbon transformation of the global photovoltaic industry.
LONGi remains committed to its founding vision “making the best of solar energy to build a green world.” This vision aligns closely with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. By prioritizing clean, renewable, and efficient energy solutions, LONGi is advancing its mission to create a future where “everyone has access to affordable clean energy.”
