Tata Power’s Mumbai Distribution division has strengthened its leadership in clean energy by supplying 2,389 million units (MUs) of renewable and hydroelectric power in FY25—representing nearly 40% of the company’s total energy distribution for the year.

This includes 1,665 MUs of renewable energy and 724 MUs from hydro sources, exceeding the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (MERC) mandated renewable purchase obligation of 29.91% for FY25. The company currently supplies power to approximately 800,000 consumers across Mumbai.

This achievement highlights Tata Power’s commitment to supporting Mumbai’s transition to a low-carbon future. Through diversified clean energy sourcing, the company continues to deliver reliable and sustainable electricity to one of India’s largest urban centers, helping to shape a greener, more resilient energy ecosystem.
