LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, has once again earned a place on the FORTUNE China ESG Impact List, marking the third time the company has been recognized since the listโs inception. The accolade reaffirms LONGiโs prominent role in advancing sustainable development within the global photovoltaic industry.

In 2024, LONGi significantly deepened its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts, meeting multiple sustainability targets ahead of schedule and underscoring its mission of making solar energy โaffordable for all.โ The companyโs robust ESG performance led to several notable recognitions, including an upgrade to a BBB rating in the MSCI ESG rankings, where LONGi also achieved the highest key issue scores among global semiconductor companies listed on A+H shares, securing its top spot in the photovoltaic sector.
Further solidifying its leadership, LONGi became the first in the PV industry to be named an โIndustry Top Moverโ by the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). The company was also featured in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2025, highlighting its exemplary ESG governance. LONGiโs additional accolades include the EcoVadis Gold Medalโplacing it in the top 5% globallyโa CDP Water Security A- leadership rating, and a strong FTSE Russell ESG score of 3.8.
As a clean energy innovator, LONGi continues to prioritize environmental responsibility. In 2024, the company increased its annual green electricity usage ratio to 47.5%, effectively reducing carbon emissions by approximately 2.5467 million metric tons. Notably, LONGiโs Jiaxing production base became the first in the photovoltaic industry to achieve the โLighthouse + Zero-Carbonโ factory status.
LONGi also led the industry in green supply chain initiatives, becoming the first to obtain ISO 20400 sustainable procurement certification. Throughout 2024, it conducted ESG due diligence for 123 new suppliers and 136 qualified suppliers, executed on-site audits for 48 critical suppliers, and helped 23 suppliers improve their certifications or disclosures.
In a major step toward energy equity, LONGi extended its partnership with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to support the green transformation of humanitarian supply chains from 2024 to 2026. The first milestone of this collaboration was achieved in November 2024 with the completion of a 700-kilowatt solar photovoltaic power station at the Termez Humanitarian Logistics Center in Uzbekistan. The installation is expected to generate approximately 989,933 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by 495 metric tons per year. This project โrepresents a critical step in providing sustainable energy for emergency logistics and storage, setting a green transition model for global humanitarian operations and demonstrating renewable energyโs potential in crisis-response infrastructure.โ
Reaffirming its long-term commitment, LONGi stated that it is driven by the mission of โmaking the best of solar energy to build a green world,โ pledging to remain a โpioneer, practitioner, and leader in sustainable development within the clean energy sector.โ The company added that it will continue to enhance its ESG practices, integrating technological innovation and global expansion to accelerate the energy transition and contribute to a zero-carbon future for our planet.
