In a strategic move to scale its presence in the high-growth digital infrastructure space, Vena Global Group Pte Ltd (Vena Group) has launched a new subsidiary, Vena Nexus Group Pte Ltd (Vena Nexus), aimed at accelerating the development of AI-ready data centres across the Asia-Pacific region.

Vena Nexus, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the group, will take over all data centre-related activities, personnel, and the project pipeline from Vena Energy, the groupโ€™s renewable energy arm. The carve-out signals Vena Groupโ€™s shift toward delivering hyperscale data centre campuses powered by renewable energy, as well as distributed edge facilities co-located with its clean energy assets.

โ€œWith traditional workloads growing and AI infrastructure demand surging across APAC, Vena Nexus is a natural evolution of our platform,โ€ said Nitin Apte, CEO of Vena Group. โ€œIt enables focused capital deployment, sharper execution, and strategic partnerships while maintaining integration with Vena Energy as our digital growth enabler.โ€

Vena Nexus will inherit a development pipeline of approximately 3 gigawatts (GW) in data centre capacity, including over 1GW of AI-ready projects with secured land, power, and permitting. The new unit is backed by a team of 60 specialists across digital infrastructure development, commercial strategy, and investments. It will also draw support from Vena Groupโ€™s 1,000+ workforce, including professionals in engineering, operations, ESG, finance, and legal.

With a current footprint in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, Vena Nexus is also eyeing expansion into Thailand, South Korea, Australia, and other Vena Group markets. The company aims to address infrastructure constraints by building scalable, AI-optimized data centres in power-constrained and high-barrier markets.

โ€œVena Nexus is purpose-built to deliver next-generation green digital infrastructure, where compute and power are co-designed from inception,โ€ said Simone Grasso, Chief Investment Officer of Vena Group and Global Head of Vena Nexus. โ€œWeโ€™re focused on enabling our clients to scale AI workloads in hard-to-access markets, aligning speed and sustainability.โ€

The rise in demand for green and energy-efficient data centresโ€”driven by both traditional computing needs and emerging AI applicationsโ€”positions Vena Nexus to play a pivotal role in shaping APACโ€™s digital future. The new subsidiary will focus on constructing and operating high-performance AI-DC campuses and edge facilities capable of real-time data processing and low-latency computing.

As AI transforms industries and data consumption soars, Vena Nexus is set to anchor its strategy in long-term digital infrastructure value, offering integrated solutions that blend compute with renewable energy at scale.
