NSEFI and NISE Sign MoU to Boost Innovation and Clean Tech Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energy Sector

In a significant move to accelerate clean energy innovation in India, the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 29 May 2025. The strategic collaboration aims to advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development in the countryโ€™s renewable energy sector.

The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, CEO of NSEFI, and Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General of NISE, at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Sh. Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE; Sh. Sudeep Jain, Additional Secretary, MNRE; Sh. J.V.N. Subramanyam and Sh. Rajesh Kulhari, Joint Secretaries, MNRE; Dr. Jai Prakash Singh, Deputy Director General, NISE; and senior industry representatives from the solar manufacturing sector.

The partnership will focus on key areas such as solar energy deployment, green hydrogen development, and emerging renewable energy technologies. A major highlight of the agreement is the establishment of a Renewable Energy Incubation Center, which will serve as a hub for supporting clean tech startups and promoting workforce development through training and capacity building.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both organizations emphasized that this collaboration aligns with India’s long-term sustainability goals and the broader national mission of achieving energy independence through clean energy solutions.

The initiative reinforces NSEFIโ€™s ongoing commitment to supporting India’s leadership in the global renewable energy landscape by fostering innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship, and strengthening collaboration across public and private sectors.
