Waaree Energies Ltd has reaffirmed its commitment to the ₹25,000 crore solar manufacturing project in Dhenkanal, Odisha. Construction activities are currently in progress, and the company has awarded contracts to vendors as part of the project rollout.

The large-scale initiative is expected to generate over 14,000 employment opportunities, marking a significant boost to the region’s clean energy and industrial ecosystem.

In a recent development, the company has undertaken a strategic realignment of its planned 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing capacity across various locations. This adjustment is aimed at aligning with the timelines of its upcoming IPO and the central government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. Notably, Waaree confirmed that the realignment will not affect the Odisha project in any way.

The state of Odisha continues to remain a strategic priority for Waaree Energies. The Government of Odisha has also reiterated its commitment to support and facilitate the timely execution of the mega investment.
