ACME Solar Holdings Limited has fully commissioned its 300 MW renewable energy project at the ACME Sikar Solar Park in Rajasthan, following the addition of the final 60 MW capacity. Earlier this quarter, the company had already commissioned 240 MW of the project. With this achievement, ACME Solarโs total operational renewable energy capacity now stands at 2,890 MW.
The ACME Sikar Solar project spans approximately 1,300 acres in Bikaner, Rajasthanโan area known for some of the highest levels of solar irradiation in India. The project is connected to the Bikaner II substation at a voltage level of 220 kV and is expected to generate about 780 million units (MUs) of clean energy annually. This solar project was allocated under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme, for which ACME Solar had secured a Letter of Award (LOA) at a tariff of โน3.05 per unit. The tariff has been approved by the Honโble Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is expected to be signed shortly.
In addition to the solar project, ACME Solar has also commissioned its first wind energy project of 50 MW at Shapar in Gujarat. The project reached full capacity with the commissioning of the final 3.3 MW turbine. Located in one of the countryโs highest wind potential regions, the wind farm has a 25-year PPA in place with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). Developed through its in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team, this project marks a strategic step in ACME Solarโs portfolio diversification and demonstrates its expanding capabilities in both solar and wind energy sectors.
