Following the recent approval of the โ€œOne Big Beautiful Bill,โ€ GameChange Solar has announced its readiness to help utility-scale solar developers begin construction on new projects in time to qualify for the full Investment Tax Credit (ITC). The company is encouraging developers to focus on project designs that allow flexibility in solar module selection, which is essential for preserving project options as technology and market conditions evolve.

One of the major concerns developers face is how to move forward with procurement when the final decision on which solar module to use hasnโ€™t been made. GameChange Solar addresses this issue through the adaptable design of its Genius Tracker system. The system includes features such as unpunched torque tubes, low-profile bearings, and either SpeedClamps or flexible purlins. These components make it possible to adjust to different module sizes and mounting hole patterns without requiring changes or delays on-site.

Phil Vyhanek, President of GameChange Solar, stated, “Purchasing tracker components early, before final module selection, is one of the smartest ways developers can maintain ITC eligibility without locking themselves into a specific module supplier prematurely. Our flexible designs allow developers to move forward with confidence, knowing they won’t face costly redesigns or construction delays later. In addition, we offer the protection of a fully USA domestic supply chain.”

Vyhanek mentioned, “The GameChange team is ready to help customers navigate these changes. Early action, paired with flexible hardware, can protect project economics and reduce regulatory uncertainty.โ€

This flexibility allows developers to purchase racking systems early, helping them establish โ€œstart of constructionโ€ status to secure ITC eligibility, while still keeping their options open for future module decisions. It also minimizes the risk of additional costs related to field modifications. With ongoing changes in trade policies and fluctuations in module pricing and availability, having a system that can accommodate uncertainty is becoming increasingly valuable. GameChange Solarโ€™s approach offers developers more financial stability and long-term return on investment as they navigate a shifting solar market.
