Huasun Energy is celebrating its fifth anniversary, marking an extraordinary journey from a startup to becoming the world’s largest manufacturer of ultra-high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) solar products. Since its founding in 2020, the company has rapidly expanded, establishing five manufacturing facilities in Xuancheng, Hefei, Wuxi, Dali, and Yinchuan, China. These facilities collectively contribute to a robust production capacity of 20 gigawatts (GW), supported by a fully integrated supply chain spanning from ingot production to module assembly. To date, Huasun has delivered more than 13 GW of HJT products to over 80 countries and regions worldwide.
Amid a saturated PERC market at the time of its inception, Huasun strategically turned to HJT technology for its superior efficiency and untapped potential. The company has since introduced a variety of product lines to address diverse environmental demands, including the Himalaya, Everest, and Kunlun series. Jimmy Xu , President of Huasun, stated, I’ve always believed that HJT would lead the next era of solar energy. It offers the high efficiency, low degradation, and application flexibility the world needs for sustainable energy.”
The Himalaya G12-132 module stands out with a remarkable champion power of 768.9 watts (W) and a delivered power of up to 730 W, achieving 23.5% module efficiency. These modules have proven their performance in challenging conditions such as marine and desert environments. Their advanced encapsulation, which includes EVA, light conversion film, butyl adhesive, and a glass-to-glass structure, ensures exceptional durability and reliable long-term output.
Further pushing innovation, the Kunlun series is tailored for vertical photovoltaic (PV) applications like agricultural land, transport corridors, and building facades, offering nearly 100% bifaciality. In Europe, Huasun has collaborated with Next2Sun AG on nearly 100 MW of vertical PV projects that span Agri-PV and solar fencing applications. These installations are praised for their ability to reduce snow and dust accumulation, enhance light capture through reflection, and minimize ground interference, making them suitable for varied terrain and climates.
Looking ahead, Huasun has launched a 100 MW pilot line for HJT-perovskite tandem cells, with a target to introduce a next-generation solar module exceeding 800 W in power and 25.75% efficiency by the end of 2026. With a firm commitment to scientific advancement, rapid execution, and sustainable growth, Huasun continues to lead the way in solar innovation, delivering high-performance and cost-effective energy solutions for a cleaner, more sustainable world.
