Juniper Green Energy has announced the commissioning of an additional 43 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar capacity at its power project site in Wardha, Maharashtra, completing the full 103 MWp solar component of its 129 MWp hybrid renewable project. The milestone was achieved 16 months ahead of the scheduled commercial operation date of November 17, 2026.
The solar power is being supplied to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) through Juniper’s subsidiary, Juniper Green Power Five Pvt Ltd.
The newly commissioned 43 MWp segment, now completed, follows the earlier rollout of a 59.55 MWp capacity on June 6. Together, the two phases make up the 103 MWp solar capacity, developed and delivered within just eight months of the power purchase agreement being signed.
“This commissioning marks a major step forward in our renewable roadmap,” Juniper said in an official statement, emphasizing the company’s ability to execute large-scale projects well ahead of schedule.
The project forms part of a broader hybrid installation integrating both solar and wind energy to enhance grid stability and generation efficiency. The development underlines Juniper’s rapid expansion in the green energy sector, coming shortly after its early commissioning of a 217 MWp solar project at Chapalgaon, Maharashtra.
Backed by AT Capital Group, Juniper Green Energy is actively working toward its goal of reaching 10 GW of operational renewable capacity by 2030.
