Kazakhstanโs Ministry of Energy and LONGi, together with His Excellency Ilyas Bakytzhan, organized the โEmpowering Kazakhstanโs Sustainable Futureโ PV technology seminar in Astana. The event brought together government officials, energy experts, and industry representatives for in-depth discussions on โPV+โ technologies and strategies for low-carbon energy transformation. Attendees included representatives from the Ministryโs technical team and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), opening new opportunities for ChinaโKazakhstan green energy collaboration.
The seminar follows LONGiโs commitment made during a March 2025 meeting in Beijing with Kazakhstanโs First Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Roman Sklyar. At that meeting, LONGiโs founder, Li Zhenguo, pledged to share the companyโs 25 years of new energy expertise to support Kazakhstanโs energy transition. James Jin, President of LONGi for the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia Region, said: “Kazakhstan has superior natural resources and a forward-looking energy policy framework, with huge potential for photovoltaic development. LONGi will continue to leverage its global technological advantages, deepen cooperation, and assist Kazakhstan in realizing its green energy vision.”
Ilyas Bakytzhan added, “The experience shared by LONGi provides us with useful references for policy formulation and implementation. The ‘photovoltaic +’ coordinated development model is encouraging, and we look forward to further cooperation between the two sides.”ย
LONGi presented its latest technological innovations, from first-generation cells to HPBC 2.0, alongside scenario-based solutions such as the Hi-MO 9 module, designed for anti-shade performance, low temperature coefficients, and high efficiency in weak lightโideal for Kazakhstanโs conditions. The company also showcased its โPhotovoltaic+โ strategy, offering multi-scenario solutions to position Kazakhstan as a regional clean energy hub.
