Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited has been declared the L1 bidder in a tender floated by a reputed PSU developer for a turnkey EPC package to develop a 245 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic project in Gujarat.

The win adds to SWRELโ€™s strong order pipeline, with gross order inflows (including L1 status) now exceeding โ‚น2,000 crore in the current year. โ€œThis further strengthens our position in the domestic market and reaffirms our role as a trusted partner in the renewable energy sector,โ€ said Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group. He noted that the domestic renewable market remains buoyant, with ordering activity gaining momentumโ€”creating positive prospects for EPC players.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is expected to contribute significantly to Indiaโ€™s solar capacity expansion in the coming years.
